BTCSoftware releases Solution Suite Update (Version 9.8)

The BTCSoftware team is delighted to release its latest update of its Solution Suite.  This Suite comprises all BTCSoftware’s Practice Management, Corporation Tax, Accounts Production and Self-Assessment products in one handy hub.  It comes in both desktop and cloud versions.


The update has been developed in response to customer feedback and includes many exciting user-friendly features, plus time-saving and seamless integrations with third party software.  It has also been developed in close collaboration with HMRC to ensure it complies with the very latest computations and exclusions for the 2017 individual tax year.


Key features of the new update include:

1 A new ‘Get started’ optional screen to guide first time users through the software. In addition, this allows customers easy access to all help and guides.

2 An AP template for Unincorporated Charities for greater integration between charity accounts and our Corporation Tax product – CT Integral.

3 An updated template for Incorporated Charity Accounts too.

4 A two-way API link to the online versions of FreeAgent and Quickbooks bookkeeping packages. This will bring a greater and seamless integration for accountancy practice systems, including ease in bringing a Trial Balance into BTCSoftware’s Accounts Production Solution, and populating Journals back to the online bookkeeping product. This is all in addition to our existing integration with Xero and ReckonOne online bookkeeping software.

5 An extension between the BTCSoftware product suite and GDPR compliant MyDocSafe to enable sending files securely, with or without requesting a signature.

6 Updates to the HMRC calculation and filing exclusions for 2017.

7 An extended Trial Balance report to show the journal detail.

8 Amendments to the VAT101 EC Sales List for easier printing for paper submissions.

9 Faster production of CTI iXBRL files (we have halved the time it takes to generate the files).

10 CTI print improvements – optional printing of…

  • Payment Schedule with the return
  • Capital Allowance detail with the return
  • Files which have been attached to the CT Return for submission to HMRC
  • CT Return(s) from the Accounts Production print tree (useful for creating an Accounts “pack” to Send to Client for Review, etc.)
