HMRC has issued details of planned downtime, which will mean some services are unavailable.

To allow for scheduled maintenance you will be unable to access some HMRC online services between Saturday 14 November 2020 4:30pm to 5pm Monday 16 November 2020.

During the downtime you will be unable to:

  • Sign up for Making Tax Digital
  • Submit returns
  • View your previous submissions and payment details
  • Set up new direct debits or cancel or amend existing direct debits
  • Review and update any business details

The service availability page on is updated with details of the downtime and any updates will be posted there first.

HMRC has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause.
