During the install I received a message asking me to manually install the add-ins. What does this mean?

If you received such a message it means that a small part of the install failed to complete. This means that Excel will not know to open our software when you open Excel. This is normally due to the security level of the user installing the software being lower than “Administrator”. However, it is easily rectified as follows:-

  • Open Excel’s Add-In Manager
If you are using Office 2010, 2013 or 2016 you need to click on the File menu and select Excel Options. Next click on Add-Ins in the left hand menu bar and with “Excel Add-ins” selected in the Manage box, click on the Go button. If you are using Office 2007 you need to click on the Office Button and select Excel Options. Next click on Add-Ins in the left hand menu bar and with “Excel Add-ins” selected in the Manage box, click on the Go button. If you are not using Office 2007 or later, select Add-Ins from the Tools menu
