Permissions issue when backing up or moving the database to a different location

Sometimes when trying to back up a database, moving the database or linking to another database, you might have permission issues. This could be due to either not having System Administrator rights on the machine you are working on or when opening BTCSoftware to change the database location you might not have Run as Administrator.

To resolve this:

• Check that you are the System administrator if not contact your system administrator to give you permissions to perform this action or change your account type to administrator.

• Alternatively, get your system administrator to log you in as an administrator.

Or

• Make sure when opening BTCSoftware, you right click on the desktop icon and click on Run as Administrator > Click Yes to ‘Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?’. This action will allow you to link to another database on a different location.

• Close the Login box

• Go to Administration > Tools > Edit database location

• Choose the new database location > Click Ok

• The program will automatically close

• Re-open BTCSoftware Solution Centre
