Where to enter CIS deductions on a SA100 tax return?

Please see information below about where to enter Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) deductions on the Self-Employment section of a SA100 tax return.

Self-employment Full

1. From the Individual tax return summary screen, check Self-employment (full)

2. Click on the red arrow symbol next to the check box

3. From the Self-employment (full) (SA103F) screen, click on Add to add the self-employment schedule

4. Make necessary entries on Self-employment (full) (i)

5. Go to Self-employment (full) (iv) tab

6. Enter figure in box 81 Total CIS deductions taken from your payments by contractors

Self-employment Short

1. From the Individual tax return summary screen, check Self-employment (short)

2. Click on the red arrow symbol next to the check box

3. From the Self-employment (short) (SA103F) screen, click on Add to add the self-employment schedule

4. Make necessary entries on Self-employment (short) (i)

5. Go to Self-employment (short) (ii) tab

6. Enter figure in box 38 Total CIS deductions taken from your payments by contractors
