British Heart Foundation
Each year BTCSoftware participate in raising funds for a local and a national charity of our choice. It is our pleasure to announce that this year’s chosen national charity is the British Heart Foundation. BHF are the UK’s number one heart charity and through 50 years of funding cutting edge research they have made a big difference to people’s lives.
So in the spirt of charity our co-founders, Rob Ellis and Ian Katté, will be participating bike rides to raise as much money and awareness for the charity as possible. On June 21st the BHF will celebrate the 40th year of their 54 mile London to Brighton bike ride and alongside thousands of other participants Ian and Rob will leave the buzz of the city behind him and cycle through country lanes descending into a triumphant finish by the sea! Further on in the year on the 26th September, Rob will be taking on the legendary BHF London to Brighton off–road bike ride challenge of 75 miles mixed cycle, single track and forest paths!
You can follow and support Ian and Rob on their Journey over the coming months via our blog page! Good Luck guys!
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
In 2014 we were delighted to be sponsoring JDRF, the world leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research and a gang of us will be rode for them in the London-Surrey 100. They use the money raised by their supporters to fund top quality scientific projects that truly matter to people who have personal experience of living with the condition. They understand the enormous physical, psychological and financial burden of type 1 diabetes and believe that will only be lifted by investing in the best possible medical research. They provide information for children, adults and parents living with the condition, at all stages through diagnosis and beyond and they give people with type 1 a voice and campaign for increased focus on and funding for research to find the cure. Empowering, motivating and inspiring people living with type 1 to stand up and be counted.
